The food here is always sooo good. Best sandwiches in town! The staff here is always friendly and helpful and the owner is GREAT. Today was the first day that I sat outside and I really enjoyed watching an event that was happening right next door at the local farmers market.

Great Sandwiches! Great beer prices! Friendly staff!! The atmosphere lacks but the sandwiches make up for that and some!

Alright - so - I've been back a few times since my last review. There have been some positive staff changes - the slothful, unhelpful ones are gone.
The owner himself has really got things organized and streamlined now. Most of the times I come, he is here.
Great place to get a beer and a sandwich. They have some nice combos, make their own sauces/spreads and use Boars Head.
My favorite night is Thirsty Thursday when the drafts are only $3.50. They sell a lot of beer so the menu pretty much changes weekly; you can get to taste some great craft beers that you otherwise would not have access to. -

Great selection of craft beer. Fresh ingredients, a variety of options for vegetarians, sprouts, boars head deli meats, varied seating options. They sell bottled beers. The pickles are "the good pickles." I have eaten here 4 times so far, my order is custom and it has been correct every time. It is an order at the bar, bus your own table situation. Did I mention the great sandwhich topper options? Apples. Pesto. Mushrooms. Jalepenos. Havarti, Gouda, and other cheeses.
They haven't had their grand opening yet, so they are still working out a few kinks: it takes about 40 mins for food to come out, it is an old building and it is hot--the AC isn't keeping up with the Carolina summer. I think they need 2 trashcans. The only options for drinks are bottled (other than beer and water). They don't have ice. They don't have ice. They don't have ice.
For me, they are not great for lunch, because they have no half-half ice tea and I can't drink beer during the work day and I refuse to participate in the plastic bottle options. Lol! I am picky, I know. But--I am a picky person who eats out a lot and eats local.
Overall--a great locally owned option for a sandwich. I will keep coming back!
Update: the food comes out much more quickly now. -

Yum yum yum! They serve up great beer and sandwiches. Hubby had the grilled Cuban and I did a Make Your Own (Sourdough, Gouda, salami, banana peppers, and cranberry aioli). It's a small, relaxed downtown restaurant with street parking. We will definitely be back.
